This disease happens when a baby spends too much time sucking on a bottle or pacifier because they can't use their teeth for chewing due to an improper latch. It starts as cavities but can quickly progress into dental infections that may result in the loss of the tooth. We'll talk about all these elements as well as prevention tactics such as cutting out bottles after 12 months and replacing them with sippy cups before 24 months How can I prevent nursing caries? Do not allow your child to go to bed with a bottle filled with anything but water. Wean your child from the bottle in a timely manner. Begin good early mouth care of the gums and teeth.
